Community Facilities Interest Free Loan Program 2024/25

Submissions are now being accepted. Submissions close at midnight 30 June 2025 (AEST).

Welcome to the City of Moreton Bay's online grant application service, powered by SmartyGrants.

Organisations wishing to apply for this loan must meet the same applicant and project criteria as Council's Community Facilities Grant. Before starting this application please read the Community Grants Program Guidelines to ensure your organisation and your facility improvement project are eligible.

Before starting this application, you must discuss your proposal with Council. Contact a Sport and Recreation Officer by emailing sportrecreation@moretonbay.qld.gov.au.

City of Moreton Bay cannot accept applications from organisations that have overdue acquittals or debts with Council. Before continuing this application, it is important to check your organisation's SmartyGrants User Account, and any other SmartyGrants accounts connected with your organisation, to ensure there are no overdue acquittals.

Supporting documents needed for this application:

  • Current certificate of currency for $20M public liability insurance.
  • Audited or verified financial statements for the previous 2 years.
  • Quotes (from a registered supplier with an ABN that can issue a receipt for their goods/ services) for all expenditure items.
  • Landowners consent:
    • Written letter from the landowner confirming consent for the project; or
    • Improvement Works Application (IWA) consent letter (Council lessees only).
  • Site plans and construction drawings
  • Letters of support (optional). These must be dated and include the contact details of the author.

Supporting documents: Please ensure they are clearly labelled with "Document name - Organisation name". For example: Audited Financials - Lawnton Jive Assoc. Files can be up to 25MB each, however we recommend keeping them under 5MB – the larger the file, the longer the upload time. When uploading multiple documents, wait for each file to upload before trying to attach another file.

Completing an application in a group or team: A number of people can work on an application using the same log-in details. We strongly recommend that you use a shared email address, like info@yourcompany.org.au. But make sure only one person is working on an application at a time. If two people are working on the same form at the same time, it will only save the progress of one person and someone may lose some work.

Submitting your application: You are strongly encouraged to submit your completed application before the designated closing date. This is to allow sufficient time to review any incomplete or incorrectly formatted answers. You will find a review and submit button at the bottom of the Navigation Panel. You need to review your application before you can submit it. You will not be able to submit your application until all the compulsory questions are completed and there are no validation errors. Once you have submitted your application, no further editing or uploading of support materials is possible.

Once submitted you will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your application attached. This will be sent to the email address registered on the SmartyGrants user account. If you do not receive this confirmation email, you should presume that your application has not been submitted. Hint: also check the email hasn't landed in your spam or junk folder.

If you need more help using this form, download the Help Guide for Applicants or check out Applicant Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's). For queries about the guidelines or project eligibility contact the Community Grants and Partnerships Unit on (07) 3205 0555 during business hours or email grants@moretonbay.qld.gov.au and quote your submission number.
