Moreton Bay City Council is collecting your personal information for the purpose of assessing your funding application. This grant provides support to individuals who live in the City of Moreton Bay and are competing, performing or presenting at national or international competitions, events or conferences, including those invited to represent their field at the Commonwealth or Olympic Games.
 

The Individual Achievement Grant Program includes two categories:

  • Youth Achievement Category – for applicants aged 25 years or younger
  • Commonwealth and Olympic Games Category – no age requirement applies

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED

When applying for an Individual Achievement Grant, ensure you supply the following documentation:

  • Proof of residency within the City of Moreton Bay; and
  • Written confirmation of the applicant’s selection from the national or state sporting organisation, event organiser or peak body stating the applicant’s name and level of representation at the event. For example, a document including the organisation's letterhead or similar official notification.

Additional documentation requirement for Youth Achievement applications only:

  • Proof of age.

      Eligible activities:

      • Sporting events that are endorsed by a relevant national or state sporting organisation*;
      • Sporting events that are endorsed by School Sport Australia; and
      • Non-sporting events that are official competitions, events, or presenting at conferences, that are equivalent to representing Queensland or Australia. (e.g Performing Arts, Academic Achievement & Leadership)

      Ineligible activities:

      • Voluntary work or fundraising activities;
      • Club level representation, including club competitions or events, and travel by clubs or state teams where selection is not at a national level; 
      • Participation in local, regional or state competitions or championships, as well as development or training squads, camps, tours, coaching clinics and ongoing seasonal competitions; 
      • Invitational or friendship series events; and
      • Sporting competitions or events delivered by organisations that are not affiliated with a Sport Australia recognised national or state sporting organisation.*
